Inverness businesswoman in cancer charity fashion show
Published: 15th Sep 2010 11:07:12
An Inverness businesswoman is among 19 women diagnosed with cancer that have been asked to model at a charity's fundraising show.
Jackie Cuddy, who manages the city's Eastgate Shopping Centre, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006.
She will appear at Breast Cancer Care's Scottish Fashion Show in Glasgow on 30 September.
The event aims to raise £150,000 to provide treatment for thousands of sufferers in Scotland.
Ms Cuddy said she was diagnosed after a routine company health check.
She said: "Hearing the words cancer was a shock and I buried myself in my work, providing the right distraction.
"Taking part in the fashion show is a great opportunity to meet other people who have been through a similar experience."
