Inquiry over death of father and daughter in Essex
Published: 11th Sep 2010 17:42:00
A murder investigation has started after the deaths of a 16-year-old girl and her 48-year-old father in Essex.
The pair - named locally as Margaret Pierides and Costas Pierides - were discovered at a house in Prayors Hill, Sible Hedingham at about 1000 BST.
Mr Pierides died at the scene. His daughter was flown to hospital where she later died from her injuries.
An Essex Police spokesman said they were not looking for anyone else in connection with the inquiry.
He added: "Police attended a house and found two people with serious injuries.
"The ambulance service and Essex Police gave emergency medical assistance to a 48-year-old man and a 16-year-old young woman at the address."
Police cordoned off the area surrounding the large detached house in the quiet village where they were discovered.
