Galaxy Note £370

Traffic police in southern Scotland have seized drugs with a street value of £140,000 in the past three months, mainly on the A74(M) motorway.

Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary roads patrol officers have made the finds since early June.

Police said various types of drug had been taken due to the "pro-active stance" being taken.

The seizures have been highlighted in a report to councillors on force activity across the region.

The A74(M) is one of the main road links between Scotland and England and joins the M6 north of Carlisle to the M74 to Glasgow.

Much of route is within the Dumfries and Galloway force area.
