Glider pilot treated after Leicestershire crash
Published: 18th Aug 2010 16:42:56
A glider has crashed on land close to a Leicestershire quarry.
It is thought to have come down in a field near Lafarge Aggregates on Welford Road in Husbands Bosworth.
The fire and rescue service was called to assist the East Midlands Ambulance Service shortly after 1400 BST and an air ambulance took the pilot to hospital.
A spokesman for the fire service said it was not clear if the person had been seriously injured.
