Man charged with trying to murder fiancee
Published: 3rd Aug 2010 18:28:04
A 37-year-old man has made a second court appearance after he allegedly tried to kill his fiancee.
Steven McKee, from Slamannan, was fully committed to stand trial at Falkirk Sheriff Court for the attempted murder of mother-of-two Lisa Whyte on 24 July.
Mr McKee, of Culloch Road, made no plea or declaration during the brief hearing in front of Sheriff Craig Caldwell.
An application for bail was rejected by the Crown and Mr McKee was remanded into custody.
He is accused of assaulting 32-year-old Ms Whyte at a house in Culloch Road to her severe injury and to the danger of her life and he is also alleged to have attempted to murder her.
The case has been continued for further examination.
