Woman impaled on fence after fall

A woman has been taken to hospital after she was impaled on railings, following a fall from a window in Edinburgh.
Emergency services were called at about 1535 BST after the 67-year-old fell 10ft from a building in the city's Orwell Place.
Firefighters used cutting equipment to remove the fence from the woman's leg.
She was taken to the Royal Infirmary with part of the railing still embedded in her thigh. Her condition is unknown.
