Man injured in Colwyn Bay takeaway assault

A man has suffered serious head injuries in an assault at a takeaway restaurant, say police.

The incident is believed to have taken place between 1345 and 1510 BST at the Oriental Express restaurant in Colwyn Bay, Conwy county, on Wednesday.

Police said the injured man was in a serious but stable condition at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd in Bodelwyddan.

A 46-year-old man from Colwyn Bay has been arrested and is due to be interviewed on Thursday.

Police are appealing for anyone who saw the incident, or may have heard a disturbance at the premises, to come forward.
