Woman dies in barrier crash in Small Heath, Birmingham

A woman has died and another was seriously hurt when their car crashed into metal road barriers in Birmingham.
The car crashed in Golden Hillock Road, Small Heath, at 2340 BST on Friday.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said the front seat passenger suffered multiple injuries and was confirmed dead on arrival at hospital.
Fire crews had to help free a 22-year-old woman from the rear seat. She had multiple fractures and was taken to Selly Oak Hospital.
Two men, including the driver, had minor injuries and did not require hospital treatment, an ambulance spokesman added.
