Detectives investigating the "unexplained" death of a man in Swansea have revealed his identity and appealed for information.

Police described Paul Anthony Thomas, 49, originally from Llanelli, as a "loner" and a very private person.

Mr Thomas' body was discovered in a ground floor flat at Hanover Street in the city on Saturday 1 May.

"He was very much a private individual who kept himself to himself," said Det Ch Insp Simon Davies.

Police said they believe that Mr Thomas moved from Llanelli to to Swansea some years ago, and had lived at a number of addresses in the city centre.

South Wales Police are trying to trace his last known movements and are appealing to anyone who knows him or has seen him since the beginning of March to come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police in Swansea on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
