A 46-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a disturbance over the Easter weekend.

A 15-year-old boy and a 46-year-old man were seriously injured in the incident at Dyserth, Denbighshire, on Saturday.

The disturbance, at an address in Lower Foel Road, was reported to North Wales Police at 2336 BST and spilled over into a neighbouring property.

Police have conducted house-to-house inquiries and are appealing for witnesses.

The casualties are being treated in hospital but their injuries are not life threatening.

Det Sgt Mark Abbott said: "It was a bank holiday weekend and people would have been up and about later than normal.

"We would urge anyone who heard the noise or who may have seen the disturbance taking place to contact Central CID in St Asaph."

Anyone with information is asked to contact CID on 101 or 0845 607 1001 (Welsh line), 0845 607 1002 (English line) or independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
