Man charged over street assault

A 45-year-man has been charged over a serious assault in Broughty Ferry, police have said.
The 37-year-old male victim was attacked by a group of men shortly after midnight on Saturday at the King Street junction with Fort Street.
He is currently in Ninewells Hospital Dundee and has had surgery for multiple facial fractures.
Tayside Police said on Sunday they were searching for five men in connection with the assault.
