Cowdenbeath aim to dump Hibs out of Scottish Cup
Published: 5th Jan 2012 11:42:01
Cowdenbeath manager Colin Cameron insists his side hold no fears in taking on Hibs in this weekend's Scottish Cup fourth round tie.
The Blue Brazil are riding high at the top of Division Two and will host the Edinburgh side at Central Park on Saturday.
"There are two divisions between the sides but we are sitting top of the league at the moment," said Cameron.
"We are playing good football and scoring a lot of goals."
Cameron has tasted Scottish Cup success as a player in 1998 after scoring the first goal for Hearts in their 2-1 victory over Rangers and he believes the trip back to Tynecastle will stay in his memory forever.
There are two divisons between the sides but we are sitting top of the league
"All the way from Sighthill where the crowd were one or two deep until we got to Gorgie when there was no space at all," said Cameron.
"There were people hanging out of windows and it was great to see that all the hard work we had done had paid off."
Cowdenbeath striker Greg Stewart says that the Hibs players will not be looking forward to their trip to Fife as few teams relish the thought of playing at Central Park.
"Its probably one of the worst stadiums in Scotland," said Stewart. "Hibs definitely won't enjoy coming to Cowdenbeath.
"Its a massive game for us - to get Hibs is a good test for all the lads but we have not lost a game at home all season so I would say we can go and win this."
