Police search for Tyne Bridge leap man

A major search is under way following reports that a man has jumped from the Tyne Bridge in Newcastle.
Police were alerted at about 21:40 GMT after a member of the public reported seeing a man jump into the water.
A helicopter, a fire and rescue service launch and the ambulance service are searching for the man.
The landmark Tyne Bridge spans the river close to Newcastle's Quayside area - one of the busiest centres of night life in the city.
