Woman, 85, run over by car in Sale, Greater Manchester dies

An elderly woman has died after being run over by a car in Greater Manchester at about 15:00 GMT on Thursday.
Police believe the 85-year-old woman was crossing the road when she was hit by a Renault Clio on Moss Lane in Sale.
She was taken to hospital for treatment to her injuries but died shortly afterwards. Her family has been informed.
Greater Manchester Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision to contact them.
