Murder inquiry launched after Netherfield body find

Police investigating the death of a woman at a house in Nottingham have started a murder inquiry.

Police found the body of the woman, who was in her 20s, at a house in Norman Street in Netherfield at about 05:30 BST on Saturday.

The woman is yet to be formally identified. Results of a post-mortem examination have not been released.

Two men, aged 26 and 48, arrested on Saturday morning remain in custody and will be questioned during Sunday.

Norman Street, Godfrey Street and Deabill Street remain cordoned off to allow an examination of the property and surrounding area to take place.

Detectives have been carrying out house-to-house inquiries and CCTV footage is also being examined.
