A third man is being questioned by police investigating a fatal shooting at a Salford pub.

The 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder after he handed himself into police on Tuesday.

It follows the death of Lee Erdman, 37, of Salford, who was shot at The Wellington on Regent Road on Sunday.

Two other men, aged 25 and 27, have already been arrested on suspicion of murder and bailed until October pending further enquiries.

Greater Manchester Police believe the shooting followed an altercation in the pub some time before 03:00 BST.

Mr Erdman was taken to Salford Royal Hospital but died shortly afterwards.

Post-mortem tests confirmed he died from gunshot wounds.
