More than 300 cannabis plants with a potential street value of £155,000 have been recovered from an industrial unit in North Lanarkshire.

Police acting on intelligence raided the unit in Main Street, Coatbridge, at about 15:15 on Monday.

A number of materials were also found which could have enabled a "substantial cannabis factory to be operated".

Two men, aged 38 and 45, were arrested and are expected to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
