Killer absconds from HMP Sudbury open prison

A convicted killer has absconded from an open prison in Derbyshire.
Gary Robert Gibbon, aged 43 and from the Peterlee area in County Durham, failed to return to HMP Sudbury on Friday.
Gibbon was sentenced to life imprisonment at Teesside Crown Court in 1985 for a murder in Durham.
He is described as white, 5ft 8in (1.72m) tall, with a shaved head, blue eyes and has several scars and tattoos. He has a North East accent.
