Meriden fatal crash: van driver arrested

A van driver has been arrested after a fatal crash in the West Midlands.
The collision between a van and a car happened just before 11:00 BST on Friday at the junction of Back Lane and Berkswell Road, in Meriden.
A 19-year-old man, who was a passenger in the van, suffered fatal injuries. He has not been named.
The van driver, a 21-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been granted bail pending further inquiries.
West Midlands Police said the crash involved an Alfa Romeo car and a Mercedes van.
The car driver, a 47-year-old woman, suffered minor injuries.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
