Brighton man faces murder attempt charge

A man has been charged with attempted murder after another man was seriously injured in Brighton.
Patrick Lyons, 55, of Down Terrace, Brighton, is accused of attempted murder and causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
Two women also face charges after the incident, in The Causeway on Saturday, when a man was attacked before being involved in a collision with a car.
All three are due to appear before Brighton magistrates later.
Louise Lyons, 29, of Carden Avenue, is accused of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and actual bodily harm.
Katie Lyons, 26, of Firle Road, is accused of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
The 33-year-old victim remains in a serious but stable condition in hospital with head and chest injuries, Sussex Police said.
