The jury in the trial of a woman who is accused of murdering her estranged husband by bludgeoning him to death has retired to consider its verdict.

Georgina Challen, 57, of Claygate, Surrey, admits killing Richard Challen on 14 August 2010 but denies murder, claiming diminished responsibility.

Jurors were told she attacked him with a hammer and later said: "If I can't have him, no-one can."

Guildford Crown Court heard she planned to take her life following the killing.
