Man dies after being hit by bus in West Bromwich

A man has died after being hit by a bus in the West Midlands.
A police spokesman said the 53-year-old man appeared to have fallen into the path of a single-decked bus.
Emergency services were called to the scene in Walsall Road, near to the Texaco garage in Stone Cross, West Bromwich, during Tuesday afternoon.
He was taken to hospital but later died as a result of his injuries. Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
