Published: 19th Aug 2012 19:05:54
Emeli Sande's performances, at both the opening and closing Olympic ceremonies, has seen her album Our Version Of Events storm to the top of the charts.
Rihanna's Talk That Talk dropped to number eight, while Sande, who sang Read All About It at the closing ceremony, moved from four to one.
Elbow, who performed twice at the ceremony, also won a sales boost with their album moving from 139 to six.
In addition, their track One Day Like This shot up the singles chart to 4.
It was one of the two tracks performed last Sunday, along with Open Arms.
The Spice Girls' one-off reunion at the show also saw their greatest hits compilation climb the album chart from 164 to number 18.
A remix of Kate Bush's Running Up That Hill, played at Sunday's ceremony, prompted the single to enter the top 10 at number six while her compilation album, The Whole Story, climbed from number 92 to number 21.
Rita Ora topped the singles chart with How We Do (Party).
