Paraglider crashes in Lake District

A mountain rescue team had to come to the aid of a paraglider who was injured when he crashed in the Lake District.
The Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team was called out on Friday afternoon when the 68-year-old hit a rocky outcrop below Arthur's Pike above Ullswater.
The team secured the area and prepared the casualty for a stretcher lift into a RAF Sea King helicopter.
He was then airlifted to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle. His condition is not thought to be serious.
