Prime Minister David Cameron is to visit Wales on Tuesday as part of an tour to promote sport around the UK.

He has already been in Scotland and Northern Ireland over the past week.

As Team GB continues to land Olympics medals, he wants to encourage children to take up sport.

"I am convinced that if we can bring the Games to the UK, we will help even more young people develop a sporting habit for life," he said during a trip to Glasgow.

Mr Cameron backed Glasgow's bid to host the 2018 Youth Olympics.

He has also travelled to Coleraine, Northern Ireland, as part of the same regional tour.

He visited Bann Rowing Club where medal-winning brothers Richard and Peter Chambers and Alan Campbell all trained.

Mr Cameron's tour continues on Tuesday with a visit to sporting facilities and the young people using them in Wales.
