Four arrested over Ballycastle abduction

Four people have been arrested as part of an investigation into the reported abduction of a man in Ballycastle, County Antrim.

An 18-year-old man was reported to have been abducted in the town on Thursday and a demand for money made.

The man later made his way to a Belfast PSNI station. No money was handed over.

Police stopped a car on the outskirts of Antrim on Thursday night and arrested a 16-year-old girl, two women aged 18 and 42 and a 21-year-old man.

They are currently being questioned at the Serious Crime Suite in Antrim police station.
