A man on a motorbike died after he swerved to miss a head-on collision with a car and crashed into a metal fence in Manchester, police said.
The 30-year-old was riding a yellow Suzuki off-road bike on Bank Bridge Road, Clayton, at about 17:45 BST on Thursday.
Police said the bike swerved to avoid an oncoming vehicle.
