Computer hacking at university admitted by student

A student has admitted hacking into a university computer system.

At Liverpool Magistrates' Court, Charantoor Kultaar Singh, 22, of Chorlton, Manchester, admitted unauthorised access to a computer.

The final year student at Liverpool John Moores University was also convicted of unauthorised impairment of a computer program at the university.

Singh, of Alexandra Road, was bailed until 20 August for sentencing. The pharmacy student was arrested in April.
