Father's suspended jail term for death threats

The father of a Manchester 16-year-old girl has been given a suspended jail term for threatening to kill her.

Abid Hussain, 56, from Longsight, was given nine months for threats to kill the girl, aged 16.

He was given a further three months suspended for assault which will run concurrently.

Her brothers Nawab, 21, and Bahaud Uddin, 23, were each given three months suspended for assault. They had denied the charges at Manchester Crown Court.
