A man in his 20s has received a leg injury in a collision between two sea scooters off Anglesey.

Holyhead Coastguard said one scooter was ridden by a 13-year-old boy who was not adequately trained or certificated to use the machine and was not insured.

The incident happened on Saturday at Traeth Bychan on the east coast of the island.

The injured man was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd hospital in Bangor.

The coastguard described the scooters as "a very dangerous piece of equipment in the wrong hands" and said young people needed to be closely supervised by an adult.
