Wigan wheelie bin body: Man denies murder

A man has appeared at Liverpool Crown Court charged with the murder of a 26-year-old whose body was found in a wheelie bin in Greater Manchester.
The body of Steven Rourke, was found by two men walking on land off Bickershaw Lane, Wigan, on 25 March.
James Anthony Jepson, 25, of Bickershaw Lane, Wigan, pleaded not guilty to murder and was further remanded to face trial on 3 September.
A post-mortem examination revealed Mr Rourke had been strangled.
Paying tribute to Mr Rourke, who was also known as Steven Lynch, his family said he was "a lovely young man who was always happy to help others".
