Two men charged in connection with Brechin stabbing

Two men have been charged following a disturbance in Brechin that left one man in hospital.
The 31-year-old man and 40-year-old man were arrested in connection with an incident at Montrose Street about 00.30 on Monday, which left a 40-year old man with stab wounds.
He is receiving treatment at Dundee's Ninewell's Hospital and remains in a serious condition.
Tayside Police said its investigation was continuing.
