Boy dies in Bolton off-road bike crash

A 16-year-old boy died when the off-road motorbike he was riding was in collision with a car in Bolton.
The teenager was on the bike with an 18-year-old man, on Marsden Road, when it was involved in the crash with a Nissan Micra at about 0045 BST.
Greater Manchester Police said the boy died at the scene, and the man suffered minor injuries. The driver of the car was unhurt.
The road was closed for several hours while officers investigated.
Anyone with information is being urged to contact police.
