Arrest over £2.1m drug haul at Cairnryan ferry port

A man has been arrested following the seizure of a "substantial quantity" of cannabis at a ferry port in south west Scotland.

The drugs were seized from a vehicle which was about to embark onto a ferry from Cairnryan to Belfast.

Police said the drugs had a potential street value of approximately £2.1m in Northern Ireland.

A 60-year-old man from the Manchester area has been arrested and is due to appear at Stranraer Sheriff Court.
