Greater Manchester doctor facing child rape charges

A doctor from Greater Manchester has been charged with 14 counts of raping a child under the age of 13.
The charges against Stephen Hamilton, 45, of Gaskell Road, Altrincham, relate to alleged incidents between 2006 and 2009.
He is also accused of administering a noxious substance. He is due before Manchester magistrates on 17 July.
Dr Hamilton is suspended from Heaton Medical Centre in Bolton. The charges do not relate to his work there.
