A registered sex offender accused of not reporting to police since last September has been found.

Jeffrey Redman-Armstrong, 42, was jailed at Derby Crown Court in 2005 for sexual activity with a girl under 16.

He was released in May last year and was required to tell officers his home address.

He had connections to Derbyshire but was arrested on Friday in Greater Manchester and charged with producing cannabis.

Redman-Armstrong was also charged with failing to comply with the requirements of the sex offenders register.

He was arrested in Woodford Road, Stockport, by officers from Greater Manchester Police.

He appeared at Stockport Magistrates' Court on Saturday where he was remanded in custody to appear on Tuesday.

He did not enter a plea to the charges.
