A man has died after a hit-and-run on a street in Clydebank in the early hours of the morning.
The 30-year-old was walking home with a friend when he was struck by a dark coloured vehicle on Milton Douglas Road at about 03:45.
The man was treated at the scene by paramedics but died from his injuries shortly after.
Strathclyde Police have appealed for witnesses and urged the driver to come forward.
Det Insp Douglas Wilson said: "We know that the deceased had been in a nightclub in Great Western Road, Glasgow, and was heading home with a friend when he was struck by the vehicle.
"I would appeal to anyone who saw the two men and witnessed this incident to get in touch."
