Kelly Davies murder: Farnworth takeaway man sought
Published: 16th Jun 2012 11:11:40
A man seen leaving a takeaway could have vital information about the murder of a woman in Greater Manchester.
Kelly Davies, 31, was found with stab wounds in Queen Street, Farnworth, on 4 June.
The man, who police do not believe to be a suspect, was seen on CCTV leaving the Tasters takeaway on Market Street in Farnworth on 2 June at 23:30 BST.
A 35-year-old man was arrested on 8 June in the Netherlands on suspicion of murder.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said arrangements were being made for him to be brought back to England.
The man leaving the takeaway has been described as white, of medium build, with white or grey hair wearing a light coloured coat.
After leaving the takeaway, he got into a dark coloured saloon car parked outside and drove off in the direction of Queen Street.
Det Insp Chris Bridge, from Greater Manchester Police, said the man may be able to assist their investigation.
He said: "I would like to stress that we do not believe this man is involved with Kelly's death in any way.
"Our thoughts remain with Kelly's family, with whom we have been in regular contact since this tragic incident."
