Book of Mormon books London theatre
Published: 8th Jun 2012 12:41:02
The Book of Mormon, the Tony-winning musical from the creators of South Park, is to open in London next year.
The show, about two Mormon missionaries sent to Uganda, begins previews at the Prince of Wales Theatre on 25 February.
The winner of nine Tony Awards last June, it is the brainchild of Trey Parker and Matt Stone, best known for their animated TV comedy.
Mamma Mia, which is currently at the Prince of Wales, will move to the Novello theatre in September.
The Book of Mormon, which Parker and Stone co-wrote with Avenue Q composer Robert Lopez, is one of Broadway's hottest tickets.
Its producers marked its one-year anniversary this week by handing out free tickets for a matinee performance to winners of a special lottery.
