North Wales Police are investigating after several lambs were killed and injured by dogs in separate incidents in Corwen, Denbighshire.

Other sheep have also been worried, said officers investigating incidents between Tuesday 22 May and Friday 1 June.

Sgt Paul Hughes said dog owners are potentially breaking the law in allowing their pets to roam free.

Witnesses are asked to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.

News of the latest incidents comes after five ewes and two lambs were killed in a field near Llandyrnog, Denbighshire, in early April.

"We are now urging people to take care with their dogs in the countryside," said Sgt Hughes.
