Motorway M61 around Manchester shut after body discovered

The southbound M61 motorway in Greater Manchester has been closed while police investigate the discovery of a body on the carriageway.
A lorry driver found the body at about 02:00 BST between Junction 3 at Kearsley Spur and Junction 4 at Farnworth.
Police said the body has not been identified and the circumstances surrounding the death are unclear.
The Highways Agency said the M61 is expected to be closed until 12:00 BST.
The slip road at Junction 5 Westhoughton, off the A58, is also closed due to the investigation.
