New Western Isles firm rises from ashes of collapsed UBC

A new firm has emerged from the collapse of construction company UBC Group to negotiate contracts the group had secured in the Western Isles.
Called UBHebrides, it is headed by former UBC chief executive James Pedrana.
It is the latest firm to emerge from the ashes of the construction group which became insolvent earlier this month, leading to 240 job loses.
UBCivils was created to fulfil a contract in the Highlands.
