Huddersfield poison plant food mum sentenced
Published: 29th May 2012 11:34:20
A woman whose two-year-old son died after drinking poisonous plant food has been given a suspended prison sentence.
Lauren Booth, 24, was growing cannabis in her home in Huddersfield and was asleep when her son Aaron drank the toxic liquid.
Aaron had not been fed and was probably extremely hungry and thirsty, Bradford Crown Court heard.
Booth was sentenced to 12 months suspended for two years and given a two-year supervision order.
