Teenage boy wounded in Newcastle shooting

A 17-year-old boy is recovering in hospital after being shot in the leg in Newcastle.
Police received reports of a shooting in the Midway area of Walker just before 22:00 BST on Sunday.
A 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and a 60-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
Police have not said where the incident took place, but are asking anyone with information to get in touch.
