Man charged with 'car boot kidnap' in Alum Rock

A 38-year-old man has been charged in connection with an incident in Alum Rock where a man was beaten and put in the boot of a car.
Police said the man was arrested in Bradford on Tuesday, after a tip-off from a member of the public.
Detectives from the West Midlands travelled to West Yorkshire to bring him back to Birmingham.
He is due before magistrates later, charged with kidnap, false imprisonment and blackmail.
