Teenager accused of abusing five-year-old boy
Published: 9th May 2012 18:34:40
A 14-year-old has gone on trial accused of sexually abusing a five-year-old boy.
Belfast Crown Court heard the teenager was aged between 12 and 13 at the time of the alleged offences when he stayed at the child's home in south Belfast.
A videotaped police interview was played in court, where the child said it happened when they shared a room.
The teenager, who cannot be named because of his age, denies rape and sexual assault.
Under cross-examination from a defence barrister, the child accepted that the boy's younger brother had also shared the bedroom with them, and agreed that he had not seen what was going on.
The case continues.
