Man held over attack on pensioner at Doagh Road, Newtownabbey

A 20-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an attack on a pensioner on Saturday in Newtownabbey.
The 72-year-old was left with cuts to his face and a suspected broken ankle after disturbing an intruder at his home on the Doagh Road.
The pensioner had returned to his house at about 17:40 BST to find a stranger inside.
The suspected attacker was seen on the Doagh Road shortly before the attack carrying a bag with alcohol inside.
