Snow draws thousands of skiers to Cairngorms
Published: 8th May 2012 10:35:55
Thousands of winter sports enthusiasts have been making the most of heavy snowfalls over the Highlands.
CairnGorm Mountain had about 2,500 skiers at the weekend and 4,000 over the previous weekend.
Marketing manager Colin Kirkwood said the centre expected skiing to be able to continue through the rest of this week and into the weekend.
Glencoe Mountain reported that there was not enough snow for its runs, but there were good conditions higher up.
