Bomb alert on Drum Road in Cookstown was hoax

A bomb alert which began in Cookstown on Monday morning has ended.
A suspicious object was discovered on the Drum Road close to the Teebane roundabout at about 08:00 BST.
Traffic was diverted while the area was examined, but the alert was declared a hoax on Monday evening.
A controlled explosion was carried out and a number of items removed for forensic examination.
