Man 'serious' after house party assault in Gorebridge

A man is in a serious condition in hospital after being attacked at a house party in Midlothian.
The 28-year-old was found lying in the garden of a property in Braeside Road North, Gorebridge, at about 04:00 on Saturday.
He was taken by ambulance to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, suffering from serious head injuries.
Lothian and Borders Police have appealed for anyone with information about the incident to get in touch.
A police spokesman said: "At this time we are trying to determine exactly what happened to the male and it is vital that anyone who saw or heard any disturbance come forward.
"It is believed a party was ongoing within the house where the male was assaulted and police are keen to speak to those who were in attendance at this party.
"Similarly, anyone else with information regarding this incident are asked to get in touch immediately."
